The fuschia baskets that we grew in Tumwater were so incredibly beautiful. Fuschias love the humidity and mild climate. I took a plant to Mother once, while they still lived in Penrose. She tried to nurture it, but it didn't like the dry air, and soon lost its flowers and leaves. Besides rhodies and azaleas, I miss fuschias. It was fun to make this quilt block, celebrating the fuschia flowers. The little flowers are three-dimensional.

Flowers are the Theme - Another Flower Quilt Block

Didn't they turn out splendid! And these won't care if it gets hot and dry. Looking forward to seeing this quilt all together!
