Spring Flowers - in Summer?
The red peonies are in full bloom - We are still waiting for the Maxima and another nameless bush. And how about the blue of bachelor buttons? They have to be reigned in, or they would take over the bed, but they are a glorious color.
Like forget-me-nots, once a bachelor button, always a bachelor button. They will even grow in the cracks of the concrete driveway. Don't remember Grandma's posies except that she mourned that her tulips never did well, and she certainly grew snapdragons. They were snappy.

Batchelor buttons are just a good friend. Didn't Grandma Wasden have some in her garden? I remember them from somewhere back there.
