The Birches on fabric

A muslin base with crayon drawing and coloring plus a little thread-painting with the sewing machine is all it took to compose this picture from a photo that I took in the fall. Double click on the picture to look at it more closely. The finished size of the center is 16 1/2 x 16 1/2.
