The Last Rose of the Summer
One of the David Austen rose bushes has burst forth in a last magnificent burst of fragrant flowers and lovely soft colors. Won't be long until they are all gone - 38 degrees above Farenheit this a.m. We are not ready for frosts and colder weather!
You've got that exactly right, Mandy. We spent yesterday harvesting squash, melons, and carrots from the garden, and beginning to take out the humongous plants - this morning it's raining and 38 degrees F. and expected to snow by night. When the clouds lift, there will be snow on the mountains. Where did Fall go? Bet you don't experience that in Arkansas.
These are beautiful! I feel like I'm cheating on Autumn Joy for the promise of being my screen saver. Elizabeth, you make it very hard with all your wonderful pictures.
